Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions invites an experienced High Voltage Substation Superintendent to lead field execution for HV substation, transmission, and interconnection scopes on large-scale power infrastructure projects. You will oversee subcontractors and drive safe, compliant, and high-quality performance from site prep through energization.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems including substations, transmission lines, or interconnection scopes.
• Experience managing subcontractors and holding partners accountable to contract scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage subcontractors executing high-voltage substation and transmission work, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality installation.
• Oversee the full HV construction lifecycle from site marking through energization readiness.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards across HV scopes.
• Develop and enforce a 3-week lookahead schedule for HV activities, aligning with project milestones.
• Maintain schedule, budget, and contract compliance while identifying and resolving execution risks.
• Verify subcontractor work, materials, and site conditions align with drawings and contract requirements.
• Provide clear daily reporting on progress, risks, and subcontractor performance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, and PV Electrical teams to optimize sequencing and minimize delays.
• Coach and develop field teams and subcontractors towards continuous improvement.
