Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Field Service Technician to support testing, maintenance, and commissioning of HV substations in Minneapolis. The role offers a clear progression from Level I to Senior, with increasing autonomy, mentorship, and scope on multiple projects.

The position requires strong HV testing knowledge, safety discipline, and the ability to produce accurate reports and coordinate with field teams. Minneapolis location; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of electrical systems from education or exposure.
• Reading and interpreting basic electrical drawings/schematics.
• Understanding of safety procedures including PPE, LOTO, NFPA 70E/OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and commissioning on HV substations under supervision.
• Assist with protective relay testing and calibration.
• Prepare test reports and maintain documentation.
• Lead smaller field tasks and mentor junior staff.
• Advance to independent testing and complex issues with increasing responsibility.
