Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Field Services team in Sulphur, LA. The role spans Level I–Senior, with responsibilities across testing, maintenance, and commissioning of high-voltage substation equipment.

The position offers growth through a clear path across technician levels, requires travel, and emphasizes safety, documentation, and hands-on electrical testing expertise in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field; equivalent field technician experience may be considered.
• Experience or exposure to high-voltage electrical systems and equipment is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and commissioning of high-voltage equipment under supervision.
• Prepare and submit detailed test reports and commissioning documentation.
• Lead smaller field assignments and mentor junior technicians.
• Support safety programs and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
