Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, an operating unit of Quanta Services (trading as PWR), is a national provider of technical and construction services for critical electric infrastructure. The Field Service Technician tracks include Level I–Senior, with a clear path for growth across testing, maintenance, and commissioning in Minneapolis, MN.

Based at the Minneapolis office, technicians perform testing on high-voltage equipment, assist with energization activities, and prepare comprehensive commissioning

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field is preferred.
• Progression through Level I–Senior requires increasing technical knowledge and responsibility.
• Experience in electrical testing and commissioning is expected at higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and commissioning on high-voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, and protective relay systems under appropriate supervision.
• Lead smaller field assignments and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare detailed test reports and commissioning documentation with accuracy and completeness.
• Provide guidance on testing procedures, safety practices, and documentation standards.
• Interact with Field Supervisors, Project Managers, Engineering, and clients on testing scope and technical issues.
