Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Field Services team in support of high-voltage substation and power system testing, maintenance, and commissioning operations. The selected candidate will be placed at the Field Service Technician Level I, II, III, or Senior level based on experience and qualifications.

The position is based in West Monroe, LA and reports to the Field Supervisor. Travel and physical requirements apply as detailed in the job description.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field.
• No prior professional experience required; foundational knowledge of electrical systems through education or related exposure is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; willingness to travel extensively.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and commissioning activities on high-voltage substations and related equipment.
• Lead smaller field assignments and mentor junior field staff on testing procedures and safety practices.
• Prepare detailed test reports and commissioning documentation with accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for testing scope and client communications on assigned projects.
