Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure services for the power industry, seeks a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to plan, manage, and deliver the commissioning scope for high-voltage substation or battery energy storage projects.

The role oversees scope, schedule, resources, risk, and quality across two to three concurrent programs, interfacing with customers, utilities, OEMs, and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commissioning or startup experience for utility-scale electrical facilities (HV substation or BESS).
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead technical teams and communicate with customers, utilities, OEMs and partners.
• Valid driver's license and ability to access project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the HV or BESS commissioning scope for 2–3 projects, including deliverables, milestones, schedule, resources, risks, and turnover.
• Develop commissioning execution plan, milestone register, and readiness criteria.
• Translate contracts, specs, interconnection requirements into executable scope and work plan.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure prerequisites are complete before testing or energization.
• Coordinate field teams, vendors, and OEMs; manage issue resolution and retesting.
