Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to plan, manage and deliver commissioning for high‑voltage substations and battery energy storage projects. You will oversee scope, schedule, resources, risk, and documentation across 2–3 concurrent projects, coordinating with utilities, OEMs and site teams.

This role requires strong leadership and hands‑on field execution. Hybrid work with on‑site presence at projects and some remote work, plus travel to active sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive commissioning, startup, testing or project delivery experience.
• Experience with utility-scale HV substations or BESS systems.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, and interconnection requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own commissioning scope across 2–3 concurrent projects with deliverables and schedules.
• Develop commissioning plans, readiness criteria, and resource forecasts.
• Translate requirements into executable work plans and test forms.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate field teams, OEMs, and third-party testers; manage issues and closures.
• Provide daily/weekly reporting to leadership on progress and risks.
