Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to lead the commissioning of high-voltage substations and battery energy storage systems across multiple projects. The role covers planning, readiness, energization, testing, and turnover with strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

The position is hybrid with on-site requirements at job sites and some remote work.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of commissioning/startup/test experience for utility-scale electrical facilities.
Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or complex workstreams.
Ability to lead cross-functional field teams and manage safety, quality, and schedule.
Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Own HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2–3 concurrent projects, including deliverables, milestones, schedule, resources, risks, constraints, documentation, and turnover.
Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan and resource forecast; translate requirements into actionable plans.
Coordinate readiness reviews and ensure prerequisites are complete before testing or energization proceeds.
Lead field teams, OEM advisors, and third-party testers; manage witness requirements and safety protocols.
Track progress, issues, and changes; provide daily/weekly reports to project leadership.
