Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to plan, manage, and deliver comprehensive commissioning for high-voltage substations and battery energy storage projects. You will own scope, schedule, resources, risk, and stakeholder coordination across two to three concurrent projects, engaging with customers, utilities, OEMs, and commissioning partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities (HV substations or BESS).
• Ownership of a technical project scope including schedule, resources, stakeholders, risk, and delivery commitments.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects and leading cross-functional field teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the HV or BESS commissioning scope across 2–3 concurrent projects, including milestones, schedule, resources, risks, and turnover.
• Develop and maintain commissioning execution plans, milestone registers, and readiness criteria.
• Translate contract requirements and interconnection requirements into executable commissioning scope and work plan.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure prerequisites are met before testing or energization proceeds.
• Manage pre-commissioning, cold, warm, and hot commissioning activities and testing.
