Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to lead the commissioning of high‑voltage substations and battery energy storage projects. You will own scope, schedule, resources, and risk across 2–3 concurrent projects, interfacing with customers, utilities, OEMs, and field teams.

The role requires onsite presence at job sites with partial remote work, a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and timely turnovers to operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commissioning/startup experience for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Ability to read IFC drawings, diagrams, OEM manuals, and interconnection requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the HV or BESS commissioning scope across typically 2-3 concurrent projects, including deliverables, milestones, schedule, resources, risks, constraints, documentation, and turnover.
• Develop and maintain a project-specific commissioning execution plan, milestone and deliverables register, responsibility assignments, readiness criteria, integrated schedule activities, and resource forecast.
• Translate contract requirements, technical specifications, interconnection requirements, permit conditions, OEM requirements, and company standards into an executable commissioning scope and work plan.
• Establish priorities and make day‑to‑day project decisions within the assigned scope; promptly elevate safety, contractual, technical, schedule, cost or resource issues that require leadership action.
• Track progress, productivity, forecasted completion, constraints, and corrective actions; provide accurate daily and weekly reporting to commissioning and project leadership.
