Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to lead commissioning for high-voltage substations and battery energy storage projects. You will own scope, schedule, resources, risks and deliverables from planning through energization and turnover, coordinating with customers, utilities, OEMs, and commissioning partners.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence at job sites with some remote work; travel to project sites is frequent.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities, including HV substations or BESS.
Ability to read and interpret contracts, scopes of work, specifications, IFC drawings, electrical diagrams, and interconnection requirements.
Strong problem-solving, planning, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Own the assigned HV or BESS commissioning scope across typically 2-3 concurrent projects, including deliverables, milestones, schedule, resources, risks, constraints, documentation, and turnover.
Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan, milestone register, and resource forecast.
Coordinate readiness reviews and ensure prerequisites are complete before testing or energization proceeds.
Lead field commissioning activities including functional, protection and control, and performance testing.
Coordinate with owners, utilities, OEMs, and commissioning partners while protecting witness and notice requirements.
