Job summary

You will recruit and mentor engineers, align resources with company goals, and interact with customers and suppliers. ITAR compliance and a strong tech judgment are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading engineers or an engineering function.
• Strong understanding of design, development, testing, and documentation workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; willing to travel.
• Master's degree and aerospace/defense/regulated environment experience is a bonus.
• Experience with high-voltage systems, electric propulsion, or energy storage in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction and strategy for the Electrical Engineering department.
• Lead the department through design, testing, qualification, documentation, and release.
• Manage operations and budget; set priorities and resource allocation.
• Review and approve electrical designs, test methods, and installation procedures.
• Represent engineering to senior leadership; engage with customers and suppliers; travel as needed.
• Recruit, coach, and mentor engineers; build a culture of accountability and innovation.
