Job summary

Thea Energy, based in New Jersey, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead engineering execution and the operating readiness of electrical and power supply systems across development programs. You will guide a multidisciplinary team through design, testing, commissioning, and safety-focused operations.

Responsibilities include team direction, program planning, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring robust electrical architectures, protection, and EMC.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Six+ years in engineering across power systems or test facilities.
• Three+ years supervising engineers or leading an engineering team.
• Experience delivering complex electrical systems from design to commissioning.
• Strong safety judgment in high-voltage/high-current environments.

Responsibilities

• Set team goals, coach staff, and manage performance and development.
• Translate milestones into work packages, estimates, and schedules.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and resolve interface issues.
• Design test facility electrical architectures and drawings.
• Perform power system studies and coordinate protection.
• Lead high-power converter and power supply development.
• Oversee hardware design, reviews, bring-up, and release.
• Define electrical requirements and maintain configuration baselines.
• Manage supplier execution, submittals, and acceptance evidence.
• Oversee build, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure electrical safety and EMC across systems.
• Maintain lifecycle reliability and maintenance records.
