Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Project Development Engineer to bridge the gap between sales and engineering for HV/MV substations, T-Line, and BESS opportunities. The role is based in Houston, TX and involves about 20-30% travel.

You will support the Accounts & Business Development team, shape executable EPC solutions, coordinate inputs across engineering and construction, and assist in proposal development to win opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Plan to acquire a PE License preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the power industry, preferably HV/MV substations, transmission, or BESS projects.
• Familiarity with EPC project delivery from development through execution.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and one-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Qualify opportunities for HV/MV substations, T-Line, and BESS projects.
• Review RFQs and specs to identify requirements, risks, and clarifications.
• Develop preliminary technical concepts with engineering and construction teams.
• Prepare budgetary estimates and support EPC proposals.
• Coordinate inputs across engineering, construction, pre-construction, procurement, and field services.
