Shermco is seeking Field Service Test Technicians to travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems from 480 V to 600 kV. You will conduct transformer tests, relay calibration, and power metering tasks while ensuring safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in switchgear testing, an EPC associate or ABET EE degree, and the ability to travel 40%+.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience performing switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. and pass a physical exam when required.
• Must read/write/speak English fluently and have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Travel locally/regionally with periodic overnight stays for tests.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and start-up electrical systems from 480 V to 600 kV.
• Calibrate relays, test transformers, and perform power metering tasks.
• Adhere to electrical safety procedures; support on-call emergencies as needed.
