Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families seeks an OPS Human Services Program Consultant I to provide operational support to the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency eligibility operations in Fort Pierce.

You will review and process eligibility cases, analyze case information to resolve discrepancies, ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, and support quality improvement initiatives, exercising independent judgment in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of eligibility programs and public assistance operations including Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF.
• Experience with case processing procedures, workflow management, and eligibility determination processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and electronic case management systems.
• Ability to analyze case information, identify discrepancies, and resolve processing errors.
• Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with quality assurance or continuous improvement activities.
