Job summary

Specialized Recruiting Group - Metro East Area, Illinois is seeking an HR Generalist who will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives.

You will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, and practices, while recruiting, onboarding, and guiding performance management, payroll, benefits, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• 3+ years' experience in Human Resources.
• Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies.
• Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees.
• Ability to travel occasionally between company locations and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new hires, conduct performance management, and manage payroll and benefits.
• Maintain HRIS records, reporting, and data accuracy; support process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Assist with leave administration and employee benefit questions (FMLA, disability, COBRA, EAP, 401k).
