Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in distribution or warehousing.
  • Professional certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

With a strong commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee development, we are looking for a strategic, people-driven Human Resources Director to help shape and lead the future of our HR function.

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for leading all facets of the HR function across our distribution, sales and warehouse operations. This includes talent strategy, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational culture. This leadership role is pivotal in aligning HR strategies with business goals to support EFC's continued growth and success-especially by strengthening talent development programs across our locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Lead HR initiatives that support business objectives and long-term company goals.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, particularly the Chief People Officer.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational structure alignment.
  • Develop and oversee a robust learning and development strategy for all departments, including warehouse and corporate staff.
  • Promote leadership development and create clear career pathways.
  • Implement metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.

Talent Acquisition & Retention

  • Lead recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates at all levels.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure seamless integration.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies, particularly in operational roles.

Performance Management

  • Administer performance management systems that align with business outcomes.
  • Coach leaders on feedback, goal-setting, and employee development.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and productive workplace across all EFC facilities.
  • Address employee relations matters with fairness and compliance in mind.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the company.

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, company policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to manage risk.

HR Operations

  • Oversee HR systems, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Manage HR metrics and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
  • Direct the HR team and manage the departmental budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in distribution or warehousing
  • Experience in talent development and workforce training strategy
  • Professional certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams
