Job summary

Mission Staffing is supporting a leading global private equity firm in New York, seeking an organized HR Coordinator to join the Human Capital team. The role focuses on supporting the Associate Program, plus core HR operations and firm events.

Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding, I‑9 verification, visa coordination, benefits questions, and maintaining HR records. The role also plans and runs events, with strong opportunities to grow into a larger leadership position within the

  • Handle I-9 verification and coordinate visa and immigration processes
  • Assist with benefits administration and HR documentation
  • Plan and run firm events including recruiting events and Associate programming with vendor and budget oversight

About the Role

Our client, a leading global private equity firm, is looking for an organized, execution-focused HR Coordinator to join its Human Capital team. Most of this role is spent supporting the firm's Associate Program. The rest covers core HR operations and firm event planning.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants to own and improve processes, think ahead, and get things done. As the role grows, there is a chance to take on a bigger leadership role within the Associate Program.

Key Responsibilities
Associate Program
  • Support the Associate lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through the program and transitions out
  • Help coordinate annual Associate recruiting, including sourcing, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and logistics
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for Associates and hiring teams
  • Find ways to improve program processes and the candidate and Associate experience
HR Operations & Coordination
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees
  • Handle I-9 verification and coordinate visa and immigration processes
  • Help with benefits administration and employee questions
  • Keep employee records and HR documentation accurate
Events
  • Plan and run firm events, including recruiting events and Associate programming, to the standard expected at a top-tier private equity firm
  • Manage vendors, budgets, and logistics from start to finish, with a focus on anticipating details and needs
Qualifications

Our client is open to two profiles:

HR Coordinator: 2–5 years of HR coordination experience, ideally in financial services or professional services, who is excited to support and grow with an Associate/analyst program

Senior Administrative Professional: An experienced executive or administrative assistant in financial services who wants to move into HR and has strong event planning and coordination skills

Across both profiles, the firm is looking for:

  • A strong track record of execution; you drive things forward and follow through
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • An understanding of the level of polish and service that senior private equity professionals expect
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Genuine interest in recruiting, talent programs, and HR operations

Bachelor's degree preferred

Base salary: $100,000–$125,000, plus bonus (total cash compensation around $150,000)
