The HR Generalist – Recruiting Focus will support a pharmaceutical manufacturing site undergoing rapid growth. This role is primarily responsible for high-volume recruiting execution, partnering closely with hiring managers, external recruiting vendors, and HR leadership to ensure positions are filled quickly, compliantly, and with high-quality talent.
This role is hands-on and execution-focused, enabling the Head of HR to remain focused on strategic initiatives while supporting the site’s aggressive hiring goals.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
Own full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, with a primary focus on high-volume manufacturing positions (e.g., Packaging Operators)
Manage requisitions from posting through start date, including screening, interviewing, offers, and pre-employment processes
Partner with RPO and external recruiting vendors to drive candidate flow and meet hiring timelines
Plan and facilitate hiring events, group interviews, and recruiting days
Actively source candidates through job boards, referrals, and community outreach
Maintain candidate pipelines aligned to onboarding class schedules
Ensure timely offer completion and follow-up through hire
Track recruiting metrics and proactively identify hiring risks
Serve as the primary onsite HR point of contact for hiring managers
Set expectations on timelines, interview participation, and decision-making
Coordinate interviews and facilitate feedback and selection decisions
Drive accountability to prevent delays in critical hiring
HR Operations & Support
Support employee lifecycle activities beyond onboarding, as needed
Ensure recruiting and hiring processes align with company policies and employment law
Maintain accurate documentation in ATS and HR systems
Provide backup support to the HR Coordinator during peak hiring periods
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
3–6 years of HR experience with significant recruiting responsibility
Demonstrated success in high-volume or fast-paced hiring environments
Experience working with staffing agencies and external recruiting partners
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Preferred
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments
Experience supporting hiring events or mass hiring initiatives
