Westlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated, organized, and customer-focused Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys supporting employees, ensuring compliance, and contributing to a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support for the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll support, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, and other HR functions while delivering outstanding customer service to employees and management.
Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting positions, scheduling interviews, and assisting with candidate communications.
Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
Process employment status changes and maintain HR records.
Monitor employee licenses, certifications, and required compliance documentation.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and answer HR-related questions.
Review timecards and assist with payroll processing and corrections.
Support leave administration, including FMLA and other employee leaves.
Assist with workers' compensation claims and OSHA documentation.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as facility policies.
Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience; healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Empeon experience is a plus).
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
