About the Role

Black Diamond Coatings (BDC Brands) is seeking a full-time HR & Operations Coordinator to support both our people and our processes. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed for someone who loves organization, thrives in a dynamic environment, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

You’ll play a dual role: coordinating core HR functions such as onboarding, payroll support, compliance, and benefits—while also supporting operational needs like scheduling, vendor coordination, and documentation. This role is not strategic HR; it's a "get-it-done" position supporting our leadership, warehouse, and customer service teams.

You will be a foundational part of BDC's mission to build a team-centered, customer-obsessed business as we scale nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources (Approx. 60%)

  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding processes: background checks, E-Verify, new hire setup, policy walkthroughs
  • Maintain accurate employee records, training logs, and file compliance (digital and physical)
  • Coordinate employee time tracking and submit payroll data to payroll provider
  • Support benefits enrollment and vendor communication
  • Track PTO, leaves, certifications, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Help enforce company policies and support a positive, compliant work environment
  • Create training curricula for employee categories, leveraging existing resources; maintain employee training schedules
  • Manage recruiting logistics: job posting, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Manage the employee evaluation process to ensure that feedback is timely

Operations & Admin Support (Approx. 40%)

  • Support supply ordering, shipping coordination, or vendor communication for the warehouse
  • Help track key operational tasks like maintenance logs, safety checklists, or production paperwork
  • Create and maintain simple Excel-based reports (training logs, inventory inputs, tracking sheets)
  • Coordinate team events, celebrations, and HR announcements
  • Assist the GM and executive team with special projects or administrative needs
  • Complete other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HR coordination, office management, or administrative roles
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (bonus: experience in light industrial, distribution, or eCommerce)
  • Familiarity with HR systems, time tracking tools, and payroll processes
  • Experience and affinity for employee training
  • SHRM certification preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented personality
  • Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required
