Job summary

Clark Pacific is seeking an on-site Human Resources Business Partner in Lubbock, TX. The role partners with management to align business objectives with employees, providing guidance on performance, employee relations and HR best practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in HR, HR certification is a plus, and has 4+ years HR experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to support a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
• Experience in performance management, employee relations, safety practices, talent acquisition and compensation is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for all union and non-union HR related issues for the plants.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Work with management to improve work relationships, morale, and retention; resolve complex employee relations issues.

Description

At Clark Pacific, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues; successful team member acts as an employee champion and change agent. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.
• Serve as the first point of contact for all union and non-union related issues, and HR related questions/concerns for the manufacturing plants.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Consult with supervisors/management, provide HR guidance when appropriate. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective and objective investigations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• HR Certificated preferred.
• 4+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Knowledge of performance management, employee relations, safety practices, talent acquisition, and compensation strategy, with the ability to
  apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law.
• Change agent with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement and results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience utilizing HRMS.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
