Job summary

Developmental Services Center in Champaign, IL is seeking a hands-on HR Associate to support the HR Manager and program teams. You will onboard new employees, enter data in Paycom, and help maintain benefits, leave administration, and workers’ compensation records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and knowledge of HRIS systems.
• Experience with HR benefits, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and employment law is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide back-up support to the HR Manager and programs.
• Onboard new employees and assist in data entry and Paycom maintenance.
• Audit monthly benefit billings and administer FMLA leave.
• Case manage workers’ compensation claims and assist HR recordkeeping.
• Support employee relations initiatives and front-office backup as needed.

This position will conduct onboarding of new employees and assist in data entry and maintenance of the Paycom HRIS. This position will also audit and process monthly benefit billings, administrate FMLA leave and case manage workers’ compensation claims. The HR Associate will also participate in HR recordkeeping, reporting and participate in employee relations initiatives.
