Job summary

Developmental-Services-Center in Urbana, IL is hiring a Developmental Therapist to deliver early intervention services to children birth to three in their natural environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, complete EI evaluations, assessments and screenings, and ensure accurate documentation and billing in compliance with EI standards.

We offer a competitive salary of $50,000–$54,000 per year, with generous benefits from day one, 21 PTO days, holidays and retirement

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required in Special Education, Child Development or related field.
• Illinois EI credential required or eligible.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Champaign County.

Responsibilities

DSC provides educational, professional, residential, employment and behavioral support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford counties. We have an excellent work environment where you will be part of a team that is positive, caring and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people to whom we provide services.RESPONSIBILITIES:• As a Developmental Therapist at DSC, you will provide early intervention services to children birth to age three in their natural environment. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide wrap around support to children and their families to support child development. The therapist completes evaluations, assessments, and screenings in accordance with Early Intervention requirements, professional standards, and scope of practice. Maintains electronic client records and completes all service documentation and billing within DSC, EI, and regulatory requirements. The therapist participates in regular departmental, interdisciplinary, and other meetings as required.REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Child Development or related field. Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain Illinois Early Intervention credential.• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel throughout Champaign County to fulfill responsibilities of the position.• Knowledge of EI principles, local community resources and support services.• Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferredHOURS:• 40 hours a weekWHAT WE OFFER YOU:• Grant-funded retention bonuses up to 2 payments for a maximum of $1,600 per fiscal year!
