At American Bancshares Mortgage, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier mortgage solutions with a focus on customer satisfaction and innovation. We are seeking a diligent and resourceful Human Resources Assistant to be responsible for leading various human resources functions for a fast-paced and high-performing mortgage lender. As the Human Resources Assistant , you will be the main liaison between our outsourced HR Service Provider and our operations team.

Job Duties :

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Performs as main point of contact / liaison for our outsourced human resources service provider.
  • Manages communication with incoming new hires in process of Onboarding.
  • Manages Labor law updates and postings.
  • Manages Handbooks updates.
  • Coordinates in-person interviews for potential candidates.
  • Oversees and facilitates new hire orientation.
  • Manages employee records and filings.
  • Reviews payroll and commission payouts for approval
  • Coordinates and documents disciplinary actions and exit interviews.
  • Manages the relationship with benefits broker.
  • Conducts various research projects and / or special projects.
  • Plans, coordinates, and facilitates company special events, conferences, and / or workshops.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of previous HR experience, including payroll.
  • Experience in mortgage banking preferred.
  • Paycom experience preferred.
