Job description

Jabil is seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant to work in the Florence, KY location.

How will you make an impact? As a Human Resources Assistant with Jabil, you will assist the Human Resources Managers and Human Resources Generalists across the site.

What will you do?

  • Provide full support and assistance to the HR department when there is a requirement.

  • Employee relations – Responsible for communication and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Coach/consult with managers and employees on issues including performance, terminations, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.

  • Put together and coordinate all calendar of events; for example: theme days, new hire orientation, safety shoe days and etc.

  • Order supplies for Human Resources and Engagement.

  • Coordinate and share any Jabil Programs, like Jabil Cares Involvement; Respect, and Recognition Program to name a few.

  • Coordinate Town Hall scheduling for the campus.

  • Benefits – Communicate and interpret all benefit changes and policies. Educate associates about their benefits and coordinate open enrollment periods. Research and resolve associate’s benefit problems and questions about employee activities/programs.

  • Project Management – Participate in team projects that address strategic initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.

  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

  • Assist with all daily/monthly reports.

  • Assist with department documentation.

  • Assist with the distribution of documentation to other groups.

  • Understand and use any system the department uses.

  • Ensure timely preparation of reports, filing, and distribution for the department.

  • Maintain the filing system for all group documentation.
    Update all flow charts, organization charts, and attendance records for the site.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How will you get here?

Requirements:

  • High School degree required

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in an administrative assistant background either in HR or a Plant Environment; or other similar environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Bilingual is a plus

  • Strong communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills are required

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to be flexible with hours; some overtime may be required.
