Human Resources Assistant
Basic Purpose- A leading Veal and Lamb manufacturing facility in Collingswood, NJ is seeking a full-time entry-level HR Assistant. The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support in all aspects of HR and office administration. General duties include processing applications, scheduling interviews for the HR Director and Generalist, handling I-9s, conducting new hire orientations, background checks, reference checks, scheduling drug screens and physicals, maintaining personnel files, and other duties as assigned by the HR Director. The HR Generalist serves as the backup for this role.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required

Education / Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites, Outlook, Excel, Google Meets, Zoom, and related software
  • ADP workforce experience preferred

Related Experience/Requirements

2+ years’ experience in Human Resources and administration

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
