Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking an experienced HR Payroll Specialist in Delaware, OH to split time between payroll and HR Generalist duties. You will process payroll, track timekeeping and PTO, handle garnishments, and answer payroll questions while supporting bilingual communications.

You will also manage recruitment coordination, I-9 and E-Verify, background checks, and onboarding for Spanish-speaking associates, including translating HR materials and company announcements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish required.
• 3+ years HR Generalist experience with at least 2 years of direct payroll administration.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes in Ohio.
• Knowledge of Ohio labor laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Any degree or certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll duties: payroll processing, timekeeping reconciliation, tracking PTO, wage garnishments, tax withholding, payroll inquiries.
• Perform HR Generalist duties: recruit coordination, interview scheduling, I-9 and E-Verify, background checks, onboarding for Spanish-speaking associates, translate HR communications and training materials, translate company announcements.

Awesome opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturer in Delaware, OH for an experienced Bilingual HR Generalist and Payroll Specialist!

The HR Payroll Specialist will spend about 60% of the time on payroll duties to include processing payroll, reconciling timekeeping entries, tracking PTO, managing wage garnishments, processing tax withholding and being the primary point of contact for employee payroll questions. 40% of the time will be spent perform HR Generalist duties such as coordinating recruitment, interview scheduling, managing I-9, E-Verify and background checks, onboarding Spanish speaking associates, providing verbal and written translation for HR communications, policy and training materials and company announcements to Spanish speaking associates, assisting associates with benefits enrollment and questions and similar duties.

Salary range will be $65,000-$70,000 + bonus up to 10%.

To be successful in this role the HR Payroll Specialist will have:
