Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a HUMAN RESOURCES ADA SPECIALIST to provide support for individuals with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by assisting with the review of accommodation requests, documentation and by facilitating accommodations throughout UAB. To facilitate communication between managers and employees to assess and review needs, and to identify appropriate accommodations to support employees in the performance of the essential duties of their position. To work with recruitment services (campus and hospital) to identify job opportunities that effectively support individuals with disabilities. To collaborate with University departments to coordinate outreach efforts and ensure campus engagement with the AWARE program.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Resources or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
