Job Details: Job Location: Corporate Oklahoma City OK - Oklahoma City, OK, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Panhandle Oilfield Service Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who enjoys recruiting, onboarding and working directly with employees and managers.
A significant focus of this role will be full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, including partnering with managers to identify staffing needs, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, extending offers, completing pre-employment requirements and ensuring new employees have a smooth onboarding experience.
In addition to recruiting, the HR Generalist will provide broad HR support in employee relations, benefits, compliance and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for positions across company locations, including job postings, sourcing, applicant screening, interviews and coordination with hiring managers.
- Manage the offer and pre-employment process, including background requirements, drug testing and other position-specific requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct new-hire onboarding and orientation and ensure all required employment documentation is completed.
- Maintain communication with new hires and managers throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
- Serve as a day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers.
- Assist management with employee relations, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, investigations and terminations.
- Administer employee benefits, including new-hire enrollment, qualifying life events, employee questions and annual open enrollment.
- Assist with 401(k) administration and employee enrollment matters.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, unemployment claims and related documentation.
- Administer employee leaves and other time-off matters.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS information.
- Support compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and company policies across multiple states.
- Prepare employment verifications, personnel documentation and HR correspondence.
- Assist with audits, policy administration, reporting and other HR projects.
- Partner with managers throughout the company on staffing and employee-related needs.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of broad human resources experience preferred.
- Strong full-cycle recruiting and onboarding experience required.
- Someone who genuinely enjoys recruiting, working with candidates and helping managers build their teams.
- Experience with employee relations, benefits administration and HR compliance.
- Multi-state HR experience preferred.
- Experience with workers’ compensation and unemployment administration preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Strong communication, organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- HRIS experience required; Paycom experience is a plus.
- Oilfield, construction, transportation or field-service experience is a plus.
