Job summary

Southern Specialties in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to own established HR programs and provide responsive support to employees and leaders. You will report to the Corporate VP of HR and collaborate with the General Manager on HR initiatives.

The role covers recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and compliance. A strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is essential, along with experience in SharePoint and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of broad HR experience.
• Experience with recruiting, payroll, benefits enrollment, and employee relations.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including postings, screening, interview coordination, offers, and pre-employment activities.
• Coordinate onboarding and conduct new hire orientation.
• Administer payroll activities and maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, life-event changes, and employee benefit support.
• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and supervisors.
• Support employee relations, investigations, performance management, and corrective action processes.
• Coordinate unemployment claims and Oklahoma Employment Security Commission filings.
• Execute established compliance, leave, record-keeping, and reporting processes.
• Lead migration to the Southern Specialties HR SharePoint Hub and own its ongoing content and administration.
• Maintain HR communications, forms, policies, and employee resources.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve as the dedicated HR resource for Southern Specialties. This is an independent, hands-on position that will take ownership of established HR programs and processes while providing responsive support to employees and leaders.

The position reports to the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources with a dotted-line relationship to the General Manager.

What You Bring

• Payroll and SharePoint administration experience.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
