Job summary

Corel Consulting LLC is seeking a knowledgeable HR Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions for clients and internal teams. The role is remote, part-time with the expectation to become full-time in 60 days, and paid at 25–30 USD per hour on a 1099 basis.

Responsibilities include onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, compliance across federal/state/local laws, performance management, employee relations, and HRIS maintenance. Flexible hours and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years progressive HR experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FLSA).
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration (401k).
  • Proficient in HRIS like ADP, Paycom, BambooHR, or UKG.
  • Strong MS Office and/or Google Workspace skills.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and time-management abilities.

  • Administer payroll and ensure payroll tax compliance across platforms.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, and engagement.

Position Overview:

Corel Consulting is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team and support a wide range of HR functions. This role will partner with clients, leadership and employees to ensure HR policies and processes are executed effectively and consistently. This is an opportunity to join our team on a part-time basis with the expectation of becoming full time in the next 60 days. This is a remote role with flexible hours, a competitive pay rate of $25-30 per hour and is offered as a 1099.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer employee benefits and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and transitions.

  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and company policies to ensure regulatory compliance and reflect business objectives.

  • Lead leadership training and employee development programs to support talent growth and retention.

  • Maintain HRIS and personnel records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Administer payroll and ensure payroll tax compliance across various platforms.

  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 5-10 years of progressive HR experience

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred

  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance, including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and FLSA

  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration (including 401(k) plans)

  • Proficient in HRIS platforms such as ADP, Paycom, BambooHR, or UKG

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

  • Exceptional administrative, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently across departments or clients

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly rate: $25-30 per hour
