Job summary

BP plc seeks a Subject Matter Expert for OMS in the US Fleet & Mobility to embed OMS requirements, drive performance improvement, and ensure risk management through learning and verification. You will set standards, verify conformance, and lead investigations with a focus on human performance and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong HSE/system knowledge, excellent communication, and ability to influence across networks; you will work in a hybrid office/remote setup and collaborate

Qualifications

• Proven experience in health, safety, environmental or sustainability roles with accountability for risk, incidents and learning.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and human factors in operations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; fluent in English.
• Experience with digital tools (Power BI, Excel, Word) and ability to navigate multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive OMS Performance Improvement Cycle (PIC) and implement action plans.
• Set global standards for OMS SEs and developLOMS content for US Fleet & Mobility.
• Support incident investigations and human performance capabilities.
• Lead learning and knowledge-sharing forums; monitor conformance and closure of actions.
• Provide input on deviations from LOMS and develop OMS risk barriers and self-verification processes.
