Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Trainer/Assessor for delivery across OPA sites, primarily in Scotland, with extensive travel and a focus on safety-critical tasks and COMAH compliance.

The role will manage apprenticeship programs and support the Competence Management System implementation, requiring robust understanding of best practice in learning and development within High Hazard Industry.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Training & Development with a min Level 4 in Operational/Engineering disciplines.
• Experience with competence management systems and competency-based assessment.
• Knowledge of learning and development processes and regulatory training practices in high hazard industries.

Responsibilities

• Coach and coordinate Depot Assessors to ensure consistent standards and lead IQA standardisation and CPD.
• Support CMS implementation where needed and in facilities not yet engaged.
• Identify training opportunities from failed assessments and work with stakeholders to achieve competency.
• Deliver in-house training and assess effectiveness of training programs.
• Communicate progress on apprenticeship recruitment and development to stakeholders.
