Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. in Newark, NJ, seeks an Associate Human Resources Business Partner - Hub Services to partner with HRBPs and support employee relations for a large unionized frontline and management workforce at an assigned location.

You will handle onboarding, investigations, compliance reporting, HR data entry and documentation, and travel between Hub locations as needed. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential; ADP HRIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience or relevant degree.
• Associate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, and/or relative experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS tools.
• Practical understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
• Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic and confidentiality.
• Some experience with employee investigations and managing employee relations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Team player and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist HRBP with investigations, meetings, notes, and lead on low-risk cases.
• Provide HR policy information and respond to inquiries about policies, leaves, and unemployment claims.
• Provide HR support to internal customers in a friendly, efficient, accurate manner.
• Coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation.
• Partner with HRBP in people matters to understand the business.
• Support HR objectives through initiatives and projects.
• Some travel to Hub locations as needed.
• Maintain collaboration with other departments on shared processes.
