This onsite role in Newark, NJ supports HR Business Partners across hub locations, helping ensure consistent HR guidance, reliable documentation, and a strong employee experience for a unionized workforce.

What You’ll Do

As the Associate Human Resources Business Partner - Hub Services, you will provide day-to-day HR support that keeps operations running smoothly across locations. You will assist with investigations by attending meetings, taking notes, and leading low-risk cases at times. You will also serve as a corporate liaison, supporting internal customers with general policy information and assisting with questions related to leaves of absence and unemployment claims.

• Support HR investigations and employee relations needs, including meeting support and low-risk case leadership
• Facilitate New Hire Orientation and provide onboarding-related support
• Maintain sensitive or confidential HR files and support HR documentation needs
• Assist with leave of absence requests, disciplinary action plans, and occupational injury reports
• Maintain accurate union employee seniority dates for frontline employee inquiries
• Collaborate with other departments on shared processes including job abandonments, occupational injuries, and Reasonable Accommodation Process for transitional duties
• Assist HR Business Partner with locally held training classes
• Manage HR inquiries in person, via email, and by phone
• Process I-9 Verification in E-Verify
• Administer ADP (HRIS) and manage related system changes or updates
• Assist in analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Support special projects and additional HR objectives as assigned

Some travel to various hub locations may be required as needed.

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years of HR experience or relevant experience with a bachelor’s or other relevant degree
• Associate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, and/or relative experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Practical understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
• Strong detail orientation and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Some experience with employee investigations and employee relations concerns
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi-task
• Comfort working as a team player with willingness to learn

Preferred Experience
