Job summary

Centers for Independence seeks an Associate Human Resources Business Partner to serve as the primary contact for employee relations, partner with leaders, employees, and union representatives to address concerns, conduct investigations, and support performance management and disciplinary processes.

The role emphasizes front-line engagement, workforce trend analysis, and strategic HR support to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations, policy interpretation and conflict resolution.
• Lead investigations, document outcomes and ensure compliance across union and non-union teams.
• Coach and support leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, and coaching initiatives.
• Assist HR leadership on strategic projects and initiatives; analyze workforce data to identify trends.
• Maintain accurate employee records and assist with employment compliance and required reporting.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, L&D, HRIS and other HR teams to drive engagement and workforce initiatives.
• Support frontline and operational staff by building trust and accessibility through regular site visits.
