Job summary

Alliance Ground International seeks a Human Resources Generalist to manage all HR functions for the Newark location, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits enrollment, worker’s compensation, and compliance. This role serves as the main employee contact for employment matters and supports station operations with strong HR processes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess an associate degree or equivalent, or two years related experience.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR operations.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Makes all hiring decisions for the stations.
• Creates and maintains a thorough recruiting network to generate qualified applicants.
• Plan and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Keeps records of benefits plans participation and personnel transactions for reporting.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Develops recruitment strategies with station manager to achieve staffing.
• Interviews and selects qualified applicants while managing background verification and orientation.
• Conducts wage and benefits surveys.
• Researches regulations and economics for region to determine wages and benefits.
