Job summary

Fugro’s HSSE Field Advisor role focuses on supporting field operations with safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The position emphasizes coaching, audits, and client engagement to ensure project safety and environmental protection across sites.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of HSSE experience, and willingness to travel extensively, including offshore work as needed. Strong OSHA/DOT/EPA knowledge is expected.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Risk Management preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in an HSSE role.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record.
• TWIC card or the ability to obtain one.
• 80% field work, willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA, ISO 9001/14001/45001, etc.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with common software.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environment.
• Provide HSSE expertise to management, employees, and stakeholders.
• Support field operations with coaching, client engagements, and risk management.
• Monitor compliance with HSSE regulations and communicate requirements.
• Conduct spot verifications of project risk controls for effectiveness.
• Collaborate to develop risk assessment and management strategies for changes.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards and non-compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and local regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
