Job Summary

The HSI Elevate Coordinator coordinates, administers, and implements the districtwide HSI Elevate student success initiative. The position provides advanced operational planning, program management, problem resolution, and technical assistance to support consistent delivery across participating colleges and alignment with grant requirements, district priorities, and evidence-based student success practices. The Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and lead resource for Elevate Navigators, project teams, college partners, and other stakeholders. The position coordinates day‑to‑day implementation; develops operational procedures and resources; leads cross‑functional work; and supports staff through training, technical guidance, workflow coordination, and monitoring of program deliverables. Formal supervision of two or more full‑time regular employees is not required. Using independent judgment, the Analyst Senior interprets policies and grant requirements, addresses difficult or complex program and student issues, monitors program performance and recommends improvements that advance student persistence, retention, completion, transfer, and workforce outcomes. The position also develops reports and presentations, coordinates outreach and engagement strategies, and contributes to districtwide planning and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

25% Program leadership and administration: Plans, coordinates, administers, implements, and evaluates HSI Elevate operations, services, procedures, work plans, timelines, and program deliverables

20% Outreach and program communication: Oversees student recruitment, outreach, onboarding, re‑engagement, program communications, presentations, and promotional materials

15% Student success programming: Oversees strategies, services, workshops, and engagement activities that promote student persistence, retention, completion, transfer, and workforce readiness

10% Staff supervision and performance management: Assigns and reviews work; establishes expectations; provides coaching; and participates in hiring, corrective action, and other personnel processes

10% College and community collaboration: Maintains relationships with college leadership, faculty, student services departments, District offices, funders, and community organizations

5% Data analysis and program evaluation: Analyzes student and program data, monitors performance indicators, evaluates outcomes, develops reports, and implements evidence‑based improvements

5% Staff training and technical assistance: Identifies training needs; coordinates onboarding and professional development; and provides guidance regarding program procedures, student support strategies, and data practices

5% Budget and resource management: Plans program resource needs, manages assigned budgets, monitors expenditures, and ensures the appropriate use of grant‑funded resources

5% Strategic planning and continuous improvement: Researches best practices, resolves complex operational issues, establishes program goals and standards, and implements improvements to program delivery and student outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, sociology, business administration or related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible student services experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full‑time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications
  1. Experience administering or coordinating a districtwide or multi‑campus student success initiative and collaboratively across multiple colleges, departments, and community partners to implement student‑success strategies
  2. Experience planning, organizing, and assigning work to student services‑staff, success coaches, or cross‑functional project teams
  3. Experience serving in liaison role for the colleges and District with regard to the complexity of program policies and procedures
  4. Demonstrated ability to present program outcomes, recommendations, and information to executive/college leadership and/or external stakeholders
  5. Experience using data and dashboards to monitor student engagement and performance and translating findings into actionable program improvements.. Tableau experience specifically desired
  6. Experience developing policies procedures, training materials, implementation resources, and technical assistance for staff and partner institutions
  7. Experience monitoring grant funding opportunities and administration, program expenditures and program regulations
  8. One year of relevant full‑time MCCCD experience during the previous two years
Special Working Conditions

This position will travel to a variety of locations on and off campus as needed to conduct District or College Business.

Exerting 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.

This is a short‑term position with a projected end date of September 30, 2028.
