Job summary

Paulo Products Company is hiring an Corporate Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability Engineer at our St. Louis headquarters. You will develop, implement, and manage safety, environmental, and sustainability programs and lead audits, incidents, and regulatory reporting.

In this role you will partner with the EHS Manager and plant leadership to advance safety performance, sustainability compliance, and continuous improvement across locations, including training and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience and training in environmental or EH&S activities preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHS, and other regulations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and audits.
• Ability to manage projects, priorities, and deadlines independently or in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Demonstrated initiative and leadership potential; willing to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Support management of safety, environmental, and sustainability needs for Paulo.
• Develop and promote safety culture across locations.
• Develop and report KPIs to improve HSES performance.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to identify risks.
• Assist with regulatory readiness and environmental permits and procedures.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate disposal of hazardous waste per regulations and procedures.
• Provide technical support for remediation projects and special initiatives.
• Track and report sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste, emissions).
