Job summary

Sysco is seeking a safety professional to assist in implementing HSE and security programs across OpCo operations. The role supports project deployment, training, and crisis preparedness to strengthen our safety culture.

Responsibilities include onboarding new hires, maintaining safety records, conducting inspections, and helping with root cause analyses. The position collaborates with management and regulators to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and/or OSHA certifications.
• 2+ years of hands-on safety experience in warehousing, manufacturing or transportation.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Complete new hire orientation training programs.
• Maintain records for safety programs (training logs, reports, inspections).
• Implement and train new or existing training programs provided by safety director.
• Inspect facilities to detect unsafe conditions.
• Participates in investigations on vehicle accidents and injuries.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Engage associates to follow work methods in daily job functions.
• Monitors inspection of equipment and recommends preventive measures.
• Support site management in HSE plan implementation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and provide training on root cause analysis.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and regulators in the safety director's absence.
• Assist with annual company-wide HSE training plan.
