Job summary

Plains is seeking a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to lead incident investigations, manage high-risk events, and coordinate HRPP activities from Houston, TX. You will work with HSE, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely action tracking, and organizational learning.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, incident-management experience, and the ability to train field personnel on HSE processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental programs, with emphasis on incident management and investigations.
• Experience with Maximo or similar incident-management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, facilitate, and support investigations.
• Coordinate with HSE, Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders throughout the investigation process.
• Develop and coordinate HRPP-related training and communications.
• Develop clear, concise, and actionable communications based on investigations and lessons learned.
• Maintain accurate incident information and support regulatory reporting.
