Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking a Head Coach for Volleyball, Beach volleyball, at the high school level in Naples, FL. This role requires current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification, a high school diploma or GED, and completion of the Basic Life Support program (First Aid, CPR, AED).

A reference letter is required unless you are CCPS staff.

Qualifications

• Must have current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED is the minimum requirement.
• Must provide 1 Reference Letter (not required for CCPS staff).
• Basic Life Support (First Aid, CPR and AED) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and instruction to the volleyball team.
• Maintain safety and adhere to school policies during practices and games.
• Coordinate conditioning, practice schedules, and game preparation with the athletics staff.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

• 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)


• 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.

Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educators Certification.
