Collier County Public Schools is accepting applications for a Supplemental MS Volleyball Head Coach/ GI position. Applicants must complete the online application with required documents and be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.

Preferred candidates hold current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification. If you already have a teaching credential, coaching certification is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. NOTE: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification
