Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking supplemental MS volleyball coaching positions. Coaches must meet age and certification requirements and may be paid as supplements to regular staff.

Applicants should hold a current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification. A First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required, and one reference letter is requested unless you are CCPS staff. More information on coaching certification can be found on the district site.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
• 1 Reference Letter (not for CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required.
• Coaches with current teaching certification do not need athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support (First Aid, CPR, AED) is required.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)

2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification
