Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking a Baseball Head Coach for Golden Gate High School. The role supports student-athletes, develops program goals, and ensures safe, competitive practices.

Applicants must meet certification requirements, be at least 21, provide a reference, and complete First Aid/CPR/AED training. Florida coaching credentials are required, with exemptions for teaching-certified coaches. Spring-season role with potential continuation based on district needs.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

• 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
• 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educators Certification.
