Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking qualified Athletic Coaching staff to support school sports programs and activities, conforming to district policies and safety standards.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a High School Diploma or GED, and provide one reference letter. A current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required, and First Aid/CPR/AED training is mandatory.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

• 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
• 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
