Job summary

KIPP Columbus is seeking a highly qualified High School Intervention Specialist for the Specialized Learning Classroom (cross-categorical). The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a supportive, anti-racist learning environment.

The candidate will implement IEPs, adapt curricula, and provide small-group or one-on-one instruction, collaborating with paraprofessionals and families to promote independence and success in academics and life skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Current Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness and ability to pursue certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide small-group or one-on-one instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Adhere to state standards and MTSS requirements.
• Collaborate with families and related service providers.
• Maintain progress documentation for IEPs and reports.
